As a guardian, it will be your responsibility to care for all WWII veterans on your team, like they were your family members. Guardians are requested to make a donation to Honor Flight to help defray the travel expenses. This is not mandatory in order to be chosen to be a guardian on Honor Flight. Guardians will be selected based on meeting the following requirements:

1. Availability for a given flight
2. Abilities and skills believed to be needed for a given flight
3. Suitability to meet the needs of a given flight
4. Ability to defray travel expenses
